Can you believe that it is all ready Christmas Eve and tomorrow is Christmas. (yay) I am sooo excited!! This year has gone by really fast. I can't believe it is almost over. I am done with all of my Christmas shopping and I think Mom and Dad are done with their Christmas shopping. Now, we just have to do the wrapping. I love Christmas; it is my favorite time of year. I don’t really know why but there something with the music, the lights, and the snow. I don’t know but I just really like this time of year. Some of my family’s traditions are getting a Christmas tree on Thanksgiving, making an ornament for the tree and watching a movie on Christmas Eve. One of our other traditions is doing a moving nativity scene. Andrew and I move the pieces of the nativity scene and then on Christmas Eve we put Jesus in the manger with the others. Oh, I can’t wait for tomorrow.
Well, I better go and wrap presents!!

I'm 13!!!
I’m 13!! My B-day was earlier this week and yes, I turned 13. Ok, here is what I did on my B-day. Mom and I left the house around 9:00am EST (Eastern Stander Time) to go to the mall. When, we got to the mall I thought we were just going to shop and get a couple of things but, instead Mom let me get my make-up done at the Clinique counter. It looked so good, except for the lip stick; it looked good at first but the longer I wore it the darker it got. Now I’m allowed to were make-up as long as it is modest. After that, Mom and I went to Olive Garden to get some lunch. When we were done eating lunch Mom told the waitress it was my B-day and then they did the whole clapping and singing thing. When we were done with lunch, we went to Toy’s R Us to get some of Hannah’s and Andrew’s Christmas. Well, we got Hannah’s Christmas. Andrew’s Christmas well, lets just say, Mom and I both agree that Dad needs to do his Christmas this year. Andrew does not ask for anything for Christmas so Mom has no clue what to get him but Dad seems to know. After that, we decided to head home. Later that day, Mom made my cake. (Which was REALLY good) Then, I got to open my presents. I got a CD, some PJ’s, a hair dryer, a ring and some make-up. I had a really good B-day and I am so glad I am 13.

Happy Thanksgiving!!
Hi Everyone. I know it is not Thanksgiving yet, but I want to post this early. Hope you are all doing well. For Thanksgiving we do not normally do much, except for having a Big dinner and thanking God for all he has given us. Most Thanksgiving's we pull out all our Christmas decorations and decorate the house. We will properly do that this year too. When I was younger, we would go and get a Christmas tree on Thanksgiving day, but since we moved it is hard to find a tree farm opened on Thanksgiving. This year we are having a few relatives from out of state come, but that is about all. Hope you all have a great Thanksgiving.

It May Not Be Officially Winter But It's Snowing Here!!!
Yes, that's right. It is snowing here. Last night it started to snow around 9:00 and when I woke up this morning, we were still getting flurry's. The snow did stick but we only got a 1/2 an inch:(
Around 11:00 this morning, the flurry's slowly changed into a full snow. It is so pretty watching it come down. Hopefully, it will stick and we will get an inch or 2. For the past week, it has been in the high 30's and low 40's. Well, I guess today it got down to low 30's. Oh, I hope it snows on Christmas!!

Leaving for Vacation
Hi Everyone,
We will be leaving for the beach early tomorrow. So, I will not be posting anything for about a week. When we get back, I will try to post on how the beach trip went. Dad said that we will be leaving around 7:00 and we will be in the car for up to 8 hours. Oh my, we are all wondering how Hannah will do in the car. We have a DVD car player so hopefully that will keep Hannah's attention for a little while. Mom is also packing what she calls her "Mom Bag" . This is a bag with toys in it to keep Hannah occupied.
Please pray that we will have a safe trip and that Hannah will be good while we are at the beach, in the car and for Ms. Cheryl and Mr. Ryan while they are hosting us a their house.
Ms. Cheryl are you sure you are ready for all of us?

On Saturday, our Uncle Donnie and Aunt Sherry (their parents) are supposed to be coming up. It is going to be so much fun. We have a small trail in the woods behind our backyard; so hopefully it will stay warm enough for us to it. All this week it has been in the 70’s. Oh, it has been so nice. I hope it stays this way the rest of the week. I will try to post some pictures. (If I remember the camera.)

Mom's Doctor Visit
Today, my Mom went to the doctor’s office. Her right leg has been swelling for the past 2 weeks. Last Saturday, after cleaning out the garage, her leg swelled about 2 or 3 times a larger than her left leg. So, that is when she decided to go to the doctor. At first, the doctor thought it was a blood clot, but thankfully it was not. The doctor said that it was poor circulation from her surgery. The doctor said that she needs to walk twice a day. Mom also got 2 shots one for her hip and one to thin her blood. Please be praying that Mom will fell well soon.

A New Dance
This week, in dance we had a new student. This gave us 3 boys in our class but there is only 4 girls. We are now learning the Rumba. It is actually easy. It is kind of like the Waltz except it has a different beat. The Waltz goes 1,2,3,4 and the Rumba goes quick, quick, slow. We also learned a spin and another way to do the steps in the Rumba.
I think the Rumba is fun but the triple swing is still my favorite. I wonder if we will be having a test on all the dances we are learning. Well, I guess I need to go practice.
I will try to post more next week.

Dance, Dance, Dance.
This week when I went to dance, it was a lot more fun. We are still doing the Waltz and the Swing but we added a spin to each. In the Waltz, you have to do a 7 step spin. The Swing in is a lot easier. This week I liked the Triple Swing the best.

Dancing some more
On Monday, I went to my Ballroom Dance class. It was very fun but hard.
There are 3 girls and only 1 boy. Also the teacher’s husband and son, dance with the ladies in the class so that we will have enough guys. The dances we learned were the Waltz, Single Swing and the Triple Swing. So far, the Waltz is my favorite. It is kind of easy but you can not look at your partner. To me the Swing is a harder than the Waltz but I think it makes me look like a penguin. I will be having another dance lesson on Monday. So, I will try to post more this week.

Girls Day Out
Last Thursday, my Mom and I, had a girl’s day out. My Nanny was here and watched Andrew and Hannah while we went to get our hair cut.

This is my Mom's new hair cut.
After we got our hair cut, we went shopping. One of the few things I get to do, because my Mom hates to shop. We actually had a lot of fun. Mom even said that she had fun too. We even got some new clothes. For those of you who know my Mom, you know she wears very lose clothes. When we went shopping, this time, she got very nice fitting clothes that are stylish. Mom, you look so cute.
When we got done shopping, we went to Tomi-Tai’s a restaurant near our house. It is an Asian restaurant. My Mom and I split a big plate of rice. The rice had cashews, pineapple and chicken in it. Oh, it was so good. I have never seen a sweet and sour sauce like theirs.
After we got done eating, we had a few more errands to do. We had so much fun.
This is how my hair looked before I got it cut.
This is how much I got cut off my hair. I am donating the ponytail to Locks of Love. Locks of Love makes wigs for women and girls who loose their hair due to cancer.
Do I miss brushing this every morning? NO! Neither does Mom.

Dance Class!!!
Tomorrow, I will be starting dance. Mom got an e-mail saying that they were offering a Ballroom dance class. I have never taken Ballroom dancing. I am curious to find out how I will dance. I will be learning to do the Fox Trot, Waltz, Rumba and more. On Saturday, my Mom and I went shopping for some dance shoes. The dance teacher said that I had to have shoes that would not slide off, that did not have a big heal and that could slide. Well, we found a pair at target. Today, I got them out of the box, cut off the tag, and then I put them on so I could get used to wearing them. When I put the shoes on, they did not fit. I have no clue what happen between yesterday and today. They fit yesterday but they sure did not fit today. So tomorrow, Mom and I will have to go back to the store and get another pair of shoes. I am very excited about going to the dance class. I will post more about how the dance class went later this week.

Did You Know!!!!
Hi Everyone,
Not much has been going on lately. So, I decide I would blog this post. Today, I was reading my Science book. Did you know that the woodpecker’s tongue does not connect to the back of its throat like most birds but connects to the top of its head? Did you know that the woodpecker also has a tissue between its head and its beak that acts like a little shock absorber which most birds do not have. The reason it has the little shock absorber is so that the woodpecker can peck a tree for hours without getting a headache. Also, the woodpecker has 4 toes. What's so cool about that you might ask. Well, 2 of its toes point forward and 2 point backward that is what allows the woodpecker to climb trees while other birds have to sit on a tree branches. Also, did you know that the male Emperor Penguin travels up to 90 miles to fine a mate. When the female lays her egg, the male takes the egg from her and the female goes away for 2 months to eat. When she comes back, she feeds her chicks a half digest fish and then the male goes away to eat. Then he comes back and feeds the chick. The mother and father penguins keep doing this until the chick is able to find food for itself. Did you know that the Empire Penguin is able to spot its mate and chick out of hundreds of penguins? In both of these animals, we can see 2 of God’s amazing creations. So uniquely designed in its on special way that only God could make them all. I am so glad God made us in His on image.
"Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."" Genesis 1:26

To Alaska We Go!!!
We are on our way to Alaska. Well, our Flat People are going to Alaska. If you have been following my Mom's Blog, then you have read that we are doing a Project called the "Flat Stanley Project". The reason we are off to Alaska is because they are having the is annual Iron Dog Snowmobile Race. An Iron Dog Race is like a Snow Dog Race except with a snowmobile. To find out more about this race go to http://www.irondog.org/. When we arrive in Alaska, we are going to get our own snowmobile team. The race will start on Feb. 10th and will end on Feb. 16th. When the race ends, we will be sent home with a picture of our team. I think it will be so cool to see what our flat people did while they were in Alaska. More to come on our trip to Alaska soon.

Sickness
For the past coupled of weeks, we have all had some kind of virus. On Monday, my throat was very scratchy and sore. It kept me up most of the night. On Tuesday, my Mom took me to the doctor. Mom was praying that the doctor would give the whole family medicine. This way she would not have to take the rest of us to the doctor. It turned out that I had Strep Throat mixed with a virus. The doctor told us that if our tongues looked like a strawberry then we most likely had Strep. Thankfully, he gave the whole family medicine. When we got home, Mom checked Andrew and Hannah and sure enough they had Strep too. We are not quit sure if Mom and Dad have it but they still have to take medicine. I do not like being sick especially when I have been running a fever. Oh, the joys of being sick. Thankfully, no one else has been sick this bad. Hopefully, we all will be better soon.

Our First Full Day of School
Today was our first day of school since Christmas break. Hopefully, we will all learn a lot this year including Mom. This year, I hope to excel in every subject. Andrew and I have started a new project called the Flat Stanley Project. Based on the book "Flat Stanley" by Jeff Brown. To find out more about the Project you can check out my Mom's blog http://www.lifeandhomeschooling.blogspot.com/ .She will be posting a lot on our project on her blog. Lately, my Mom has been working on writing up a schedule and a chore list as I like to call it. She put some of the schedule in action today and everything went really well. I am looking forward to the schedule (maybe not the chore list). I think, during the school year, our family really needs a schedule or we will not do anything. To check out our schedule, you can go to my Mom's blog.

More Snow!!
This morning when we woke up, we had about an inch of snow outside. Around 10:00, my Mom let all of us go outside. When we went outside, we made snow angels, threw snow at each other, and just played around. Last year, Hannah did not like the snow much. This year, she played outside for almost an hour. She had a lot of fun until she got really cold!! Then, she had a melt down and started screaming. Andrew and I had fun too. Hopefully, I will get some pictures posted of the snow soon!!

IT IS SNOWING!!!!!
Today, about 8:00 it started to snow. It is so pretty.
Andrew was the first one to see it. He told my Mom and then
came running down stairs to tell me. Our local weather man said
that it should snow till tomorrow afternoon. I hope it snows a lot
more tomorrow. Hopefully, we will have enough to go sledding.

Happy New Year!!
Hi everyone,
Today, I just want to wish you all a Happy New Year!!
I hope you all have a good day.
Today, I asked my Mom if we were doing anything special today.
She told me that it was just another regular day. Of course, we are having New Year's dinner!!
My Mom is fixing Collard Greens for my Dad. She is also fixing Mac and Cheese, Lima beans, Pinto beans and a fabulous Pork Roast (yum). That is about all we are doing.
